Our standard chiller can cool the water in your ice bath down to 41°F (5°C) in climates below 85°F (30°C).
Our Chiller can keep it at that temperature with minimal power consumption as it works on thermostat, which only turns on once every hour, to sustain the selected water temperature, resulting is minimal power consumption.
We recommend starting out at around 59°F (15°C) if it's your first time, and then slowly lowering the temperature and duration for each session. That way your body will get acclimated to the cold.
We recommend setting the chiller temperature to 46°F (8°C) or above, as this will ease the power consumption & load on the chiller.
The recommended temperature from clinical studies has shown that the benefits from ice baths and cold therapy are achieved at any temperatures lower than 59°F (15°C)
We recommend cleaning the water filter attached to the chiller every 1-2 weeks. Simply take it out and rinse it with a brush and tap water.
It is important to replace the filter once per month to not damage the chiller due to restricted water flow.

Yes. The Chiller is built for outdoor use and keeps your water clean and cold, even in the hottest climates.
During winter, many customers find they barely need the chiller at all, because the water stays naturally cold and clean outdoors. That said, as a general rule, we don’t recommend operating the chiller if temperatures in your area can drop to 32°F / 0°C or below. If that’s your case, simply disconnect the chiller, drain it, and store it somewhere non freezing until it warms back up.
And just to make it easy, the full winter precautions are laid out step by step in the setup video and manual included with delivery.

The chiller is the best cold plunge investment I've ever made! Having perfectly cold water on demand whenever you feel like it is what makes owning one all worth it. Everyone thinks they can just get along fine with ice, but it's a pain, takes forever and disincentivizes you from plunging. Can we talk about how much cleaner your water stays too when it's constantly moving through the chiller? It's been a month with the new chiller and my water (with some stabilizer) is still crystal clear! 100% would recommend!

Perfect! Exactly what we needed to compliment our daily sauna routine. The pod chiller works using our existing claw foot bath tub in our master bathroom.
Chiller works great, but the setup was frustrating. You should tell customers that they will need to clamp every single connection, use plumbers tape on every connection and in some cases have to purchase more rubber washer to stop the leaks. When I first set it up, it leaked from every single connecttion and I couldn't even use one hose because no matter what I tried it still leaked. Luckily I had an extra hose since I purchased the universal chiller.

The chiller itself is great. I use it in my bathtub. It takes awhile to cool off even cold tap water indoors...like 6 hours to get to 50 degrees. That was a surprise, but not a big deal. The installation instructions were the most challenging part. The video didn't match the instructions, and the combined instructions of both the universal and pod-attached chiller was confusing. I was able to piece it together, but for something as simple as connecting 3 hoses, it was more ambiguous than it should have been. 5 stars for the product itself, 3 stars for putting it together.
So stoked to finally get a Universal Chiller (Pro Version). Set it up with a Rubbermaid stock tank, keep it covered, holds a steady 39-degree temp. Pretty straightforward set-up, but a non-video step-by-step of switching out the hoses would be nice -- a bit difficult to see details in the video. Use the plunge several times a week, sometimes alternating with Northshore Sauna, other times just the cold. Highly recommend.
It seems like the universal pump that comes with the universal kit is a bit fragile. It stopped working on me after about 10 chills. Otherwise, the chiller unit itself seems to be awesome. I need to find a way to connect a hose with a filter from the regular pump and put it in my tub instead of using on the universal chiller kit pump. Hopefully this idea works and I can hack something together. I don't like downtime from my plunges.

Absolutely love the cooler! I got a Universal Ice Bath Chiller to cool our existing jetted bathtub. Since the jetting had additional piping, I wasn't sure how low the cooler would be able to cool the tub, but was pleasantly surprised. After a night of cooling, it was able to get the temp down to 42 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm now so sure that I don't have to return it that I'm getting a foldable, custom cover for the bathtub to save some energy and, boom, I'm done! Well nice-looking(black), quiet unit too.
Really love this chiller? Works well in our bath tub. I don’t leave it on, just turn it on before using and it needs 2-3 hours (I got the pro so it’s faster). It’s a bit finicky: I have to click the reset button every time I re-plug it in, and the pump stops working if I drain and re-fill my tub. There are quick fixes to all of this (for the pump issue you just jiggle around the intake and open the air slugger) but it took some trial and error to learn.

I bought the Universal Chiller, but there wasn't enough clearance in my bathroom so I just use the Standard Chiller with the Ice Pod Pro. I've had it for about a week, and I've been very happy with it so far. Setup was straightforward, and everything worked as expected. The initial cool-down from about 71°F to 55°F took several hours, which I expected given the amount of water it had to chill. Since then, though, it's had no trouble maintaining the temperature—even after I lowered the setting to 45°F. I also just changed the filter for the first time, and that was quick and easy. Overall, it's been reliable, quiet, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. If you're looking for a dependable chiller that's easy to set up and maintain, I'd definitely recommend it.
