We recommend adding 15-40lbs (7-18kg) of ice to the Ice Pod per session depending on the initial water temperature. The amount of ice needed highly depends on your tap water temperature, the climate you live in, and how cold you desire it to be. If you live in colder climates, adding ice may not even be needed.
We also offer our Ice Bricks which makes huge 3lb. ice blocks in your home freezer that will last significantly longer than regular ice cubes, and melt a lot slower.
Since the Ice Pod is insulated it will keep the water cold for longer, and you may therefore not have to add as much ice after the first time.
The Ice Pod comes with a tap at the bottom for draining. To drain it, connect a standard garden hose or simply open the tap depending on where the pod is set up.

Yes, both our chiller & ice pods are built to withstand all the elements, your water stays clean and cold, even in the hottest climates.
For the chiller, do be cautious in freezing conditions, and follow the recommendations in the manual that comes with it, to avoid damage in freezing conditions.
It is essential that your chiller is running 24/7 should the outside temperature drop below freezing, otherwise the chillers pipes and internal tank can get damaged. With consistent water flow this should not happen.
We always recommend emptying the chiller from water by disconnecting the hoses and tipping it, to let water drain out, and thereafter storing it inside in non-freezing conditions until needed again. The purpose of the chiller is to operate in warmer temperatures, to keep your water cold, and there's no need to have your chiller connected to the IcePod, when it's freezing outside, as your water will maintain the cold temperatures needed naturally.

It’s actually way better than I expected. Installed it within 15 minutes quite easy to assemble in terms of connecting it to the long pod. I keep it at 53° and it stays at that temperature. I do wanna mention I keep mine indoor so it stays clean. It’s been a few weeks and I have yet to change my water. The filter works great.

At first I didn't put Teflon tape on all of the threads and air was getting into the filter compartment somehow. So the water would only be an inch or so above the bottom. I took everything apart and redid all the connections with Teflon tape and now the water sits near the top. It cools down really well, I haven't even set it to the lowest temperature yet. I did buy an ozone generator that I drop in and run for about 30 minutes after I get out to help keep it sanitary.
The husband loves his Father's Day gift and it is perfect after a good workout, long days hike, or just need to relax. I will say this, the instructions on this was really badly written! What should have taken about 15 mins to set up took me a few hours. Trying to read what was written made no sense so much that I just went to the back looked at the overall picture and had it figured out in minutes. Other than that this chiller is perfect.

I bought The Pod Chiller hoping for a refreshing cold plunge experience. Instead, I accidentally signed up for an Arctic expedition. This thing doesn’t cool the water. It turns it into liquid regret. Very happy to have acquired this package after our daughter recommended it to us several months back. I decided beforehand that I was gonna ease into this so it’s been enjoyable to experience even 62° water! (that’s about the temperature of the water supply coming into our house) As it warms up at our place I’m sure the chiller will come in handy; especially as I get acclimated to these colder than normal temperatures of immersion.
Had to dial in the washers to keep it from leaking, but two weeks in it is working great and keeping it right at the 49º where I have it set.
The only thing I'm not happy about so far is the customer service. I realized I bought the bundle (Pod & chiller) after the fact and didn't need the ice pod. I emailed customer service explaining this and it was acknowledged. I have an email trail for it all. I emailed early so that they would catch it before it shipped. No action was taken and it was shipped. Now I'm stuck with the pod and would have to return in with no prepaid shipping label eating the cost, exactly what I was trying to prevent. The cost of shipping it is not really worth it because it's over half of the refund I would get back. It would be really great if you guys sent me a pre paid shipping label, gave me a refund for that portion, and you'd get one helluva testimonial on google, amazon, and wherever on the internet. If not, could be the opposite.

I am OBSESSED with my pod!! I decided to go with a refurbished chiller, and I’m so glad I did. It’s basically like new, just at a discounted price! It keeps the water cold and ready whenever I want to jump in. Ever since I started using it, all my aches and pains have disappeared. I even told my chiropractor I didn’t want to jinx it by saying it out loud, but I honestly couldn’t believe the difference. I always had some kind of pain in my lower back or shoulders… not anymore! Seriously the best gift I’ve ever bought myself!!!

Gets the water good and cold and is durable but WILL NOT STOP LEAKING!!! Ive done everything, sealant, plumbers tape, hose clamps everything and it wont stop it. Its frustrating. I recommend getting something of abetter quality. If you like a constant project to fix and don’t mind constantly monitoring water levels then this is for you.
I was really stubborn about purchasing the chiller as well as uncertain if the habit was going to stick. So I dealt with Ice for a year. It made the process so much longer and Inconsistent with getting temperatures and blah blah. The chiller was worth it just for the time saved!
Great purchase. It is very nice to have available daily. Easy to set up and use. Feeling better and getting better everyday.
Works as advertised! Easy to install and I haven't seen a big jump on my electricity bill. Feels great not to have to worry about ice anymore!
They dont kid around. Its easy to set up, gets super cold, and stays cold. The best cold plunge for the price. Would highly recommend
Great chiller. Very quiet compared to their older model. Seems to chill quicker also. I really like it.
It seems to work great as far as keeping the water cold, my only concern is the filter water level keeps going down to about 1/4 full
Fairly easy to set up, the hose that goes on the filter is a tight fit, but you want it to be air tight, took some working & hand strength to get it on. The rest was a breeze, make sure you use all of the gaskets, the instructions didn’t mention the 2 black ones, only the 2 white ones, but I figured it out. The connectors that go into the top of chiller, are pre-connected under the black insulation with hose clamps, one of mine(short hose) wasn’t tight & took me a minute to figure out it was the hose clamp & not the connector leaking. Everything was great, works great. Keeping it cool and set where I need it. Been up & running 2 weeks so far, all good.
I absolutely love my water chiller! The Pod Company offers an excellent product that makes adopting this new habit much easier. The standard chiller is an excellent cost-effective entry-level option that maintains a cold water temperature without significantly increasing your power bill when paired with the insulated cover.

It's right in my basement and I get in it a few days a week. It's set at 47 degrees fahrenheit and it stays there. Very convenient, quick set up and well worth it.
