Yes. The Chiller can easily be used if you already own a tub, it is universally compatible. To purchase the Pod chiller separately, check out the Universal Chiller product page. The Universal chiller is the same chiller, but comes with the neccesary adaptors and fittings for a seamless 5-minute connection to ANY ice bath tub!

We recommend adding 15-40lbs (7-18kg) of ice to the Ice Pod per session depending on the initial water temperature. The amount of ice needed highly depends on your tap water temperature, the climate you live in, and how cold you desire it to be. If you live in colder climates, adding ice may not even be needed.
We also offer our Ice Bricks which makes huge 3lb. ice blocks in your home freezer that will last significantly longer than regular ice cubes, and melt a lot slower.
Since the Ice Pod is insulated it will keep the water cold for longer, and you may therefore not have to add as much ice after the first time.
The Ice Pod comes with a tap at the bottom for draining. To drain it, connect a standard garden hose or simply open the tap depending on where the pod is set up.

Yes, both our chiller & ice pods are built to withstand all the elements, your water stays clean and cold, even in the hottest climates.
For the chiller, do be cautious in freezing conditions, and follow the recommendations in the manual that comes with it, to avoid damage in freezing conditions.
It is essential that your chiller is running 24/7 should the outside temperature drop below freezing, otherwise the chillers pipes and internal tank can get damaged. With consistent water flow this should not happen.
We always recommend emptying the chiller from water by disconnecting the hoses and tipping it, to let water drain out, and thereafter storing it inside in non-freezing conditions until needed again. The purpose of the chiller is to operate in warmer temperatures, to keep your water cold, and there's no need to have your chiller connected to the IcePod, when it's freezing outside, as your water will maintain the cold temperatures needed naturally.

How long should you stay in an ice bath?
You should aim to stay submerged in cold water for between 5- 10 minutes. We recommend building up to this if you're new to ice baths and cold plunging. Try 2 mins in, 2 mins out to begin with and build up to 10 minutes over time.
What temperature is recommended for ice baths?
An ice bath should typically be between 4C to 10°C (40°F to 50°F). This temperature range is cold enough to provide all the health benefits associated with cold plunging. We recommend making the water "uncomfortably cold", you should gradually reduce the temperature over time as your tolerance improves.
No, the Power usage is only 280-500 watt, which is comparable to the freezer in your home.
Example of power usage: at 77°F (25°C) room temperature, and chiller temperature set at 46°F (8°C) will consume around 1.4-2 kWh per day (every 24 hours). With todays average kWh in the USA costing $0.35, that is just around $0.5 at per day in electricity cost to run the Pod Chiller 24/7. (These are estimates and can vary depending on the climate and temperatures where you live).
