How is heat distributed around the Sauna Pod?
Heat naturally rises, and the Sauna Pod is designed with that in mind. Standing at 170 cm, its compact, enclosed shape lets heat build up efficiently when the Pod is closed. The longer you stay inside with the door shut, the more that heat accumulates, giving you a deeper, more intense session the longer you remain in it. Our powerful heater keeps this process efficient and prevents heat from escaping, so nothing goes to waste as it rises.
As with any sauna, you'll always feel more heat the higher up you are, since that's simply how heat behaves. After the recommended 20 minute warm-up period, the Pod reaches a strong, immersive heat throughout, so you get a consistently powerful experience from top to bottom, with the most intense heat at head height, as expected.
What are the health benefits of saunas?

How long should I spend in the sauna?
We recommend sessions to be 15-30 minutes. If you're a regular sauna user, you may be able to stay longer. It is unlikely that you'll experience more significant health benefits by staying inside for longer as your body will have cleared out the majority of harmful toxins inside the body through sweating within the first 10-15 min.
Who cannot use the Sauna Pod?
If you have a high sensitivity to heat, have a fever, have a condition that inhibits your ability to sweat or have a pacemaker or defibrillator- we don't recommend using our sauna.
Infrared vs Dry Heat sauna
An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light to make heat. This type of sauna is sometimes called a far-infrared sauna. "Far" describes where the infrared waves fall on the light spectrum. A regular Finnish sauna uses electric conduction heat to warm the air, which in turn warms your body.
An infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you. Studies have shown that Dry Heat saunas are healthier for your body long term, and most longevity studies with proven health benefits are around Finnish/Dry Heat saunas with higher temperatures, which is why we choose this heating option for the SaunaPod.
What EMF does the Sauna Pod generate?
Our patent pending heater uses resistance coils to generate heat. The current passing through these coils produces low-frequency electromagnetic fields (similar to other household appliances like hairdryers and electric stoves). It's impossible to get 0 EMF, but the SaunaPod heater is on the low end and would be classified as a Low-EMF appliance.
Does the red light in the Sauna Pod have any functional benefit?
The red light in our Sauna Pod is a regular red LED strip that improves the ambiance during a session.
It is not red light therapy, which requires specific wavelengths to be effective (typically between 600 to 850 nm).

My gym is closing so I had to find a sauna alternative. I watched a lot of reviews and landed on the Sauna Pod. With a few modifications, I love it.
I can get it to about 175 degrees in 15-20 minutes. My basement is cold so I added blankets to the top to help insulate.
Not a fan of the chair that comes with it. It’s too low and very itchy without a shirt. I switched to a barstool for the first week then got a bamboo chair with a back and built a small platform to get higher.
Again, with getting higher I absolutely love it.

Original: Have the pod consistently work? I love this pod when it works, but its so inconsistent. One day it works great for about 30 minutes. The next day it stops around minute 25 and won't heat. Then will work for a day or two and then break again.

Relatively easy to assemble by myself. Cranked the heat and spent a lovely 30 min meditating and relaxing. Burst of energy afterwards was amazing. My suggestion for the sauna would to put a chair that is taller because the good heat rises and, for me it takes a while for the hottest heat to get to my full body!

I’m 6’1 and I have a hard time standing up because the chair is so low and replaced it with a bar stool and that works much better. Wish it would get hotter in the morning but I’m still learning about how the outdoor temperature effects on high it will go. On a warm day it reached over 190 degrees, but in the mornings it’s between 160 to 170 and that feels good. So far very happy with this.

After reading the synopsis of the recent 20 year Finish study regarding sauna time and reduced mortality and morbidity - we knew we had to get ourselves a sauna! We have neither the room nor the finances for a large, wooden structure (3 kids in college - they eat up both space and money) so I started the search for the perfect portable sauna.
I looked at steam, infrared and dry heat (aka The Pod). It came down to infrared v. dry and frankly the reviews of The Pod won us over.
We found a space, put it together and have enjoyed a few sessions. I will say - we goofed when putting it together and cannot get the zipper all the way closed (we’ll fix that this weekend) so we can’t get up to 185° yet. We still sweat a bit but can’t wait to max it out.
I feel great after a session. I leave my phone outside - this is ME time. I just sit back, relax and let the toxins go. I haven’t put in the time to swear to faster recovery times but my son is a lifter (benches 315, box squats 695, etc) he says he feels much better after a sauna session.
It’s early on and the jury is still out but I think it’s the best anniversary gift my husband and I have ever invested in (and it’s the 29th gift!).

I’ve been using the SaunaPod about 5 days a week for the past couple of months and I couldn’t be happier with it. It has honestly become one of my favorite parts of my routine and something I genuinely look forward to each day. What started as “let’s see if this actually works” quickly turned into something I use consistently because of how good I feel afterward. The convenience of having something this effective at home has been a game changer.
The heat performance has exceeded my expectations. My pod is in my basement, which usually stays around 62–67°F. I preheat it for about 20–25 minutes on max and place a couple heavy blankets over the top to help retain heat (especially near the zipper/window area where heat naturally escapes). Doing that, I can consistently get the thermometer near the top over 200°F, as shown in the photo.
Once I’m inside, my body cools the air down and it tends to stabilize around 185–190°F near the upper portion. I’m about 5’9” and personally prefer standing in it because the heat is strongest toward the top. Chest level is definitely lower than 200°F, but still very hot, comfortable, and more than enough to work up a serious sweat.
I usually stay in for 25–30 minutes and lose around 1.5–2 lbs of water weight per session. I’ve also noticed improvements in my Apple Watch health metrics with no other changes to my routine — lower resting heart rate, improved HRV, better recovery, and improved sleep quality. Beyond the numbers, I simply feel more relaxed, less stressed, and better overall.
One thing I unexpectedly enjoy is that it gets hot enough that I leave electronics outside. I’ll bring a book or my Bible in and just use the time to unplug, reflect, and reset. It’s become a genuinely calming part of my week.
For the price, convenience, footprint, and the heat I’m able to get out of it, this has been an incredible addition to my routine. Honestly, if I were shopping all over again, I’d buy this again without hesitation. Even compared to much more expensive sauna setups, I personally prefer the convenience, footprint, dry heat, and simplicity of this. It fits my lifestyle extremely well and has become something I use consistently rather than something that would sit unused.
A lot of the sauna research people reference has historically focused on hotter dry-heat sauna exposure, and for me that mattered. Being able to get that type of experience at home, in a setup that costs a fraction of a traditional sauna and takes up very little space, has been amazing.

Very impressed with this sauna. Heats up very fast and is made with good quality materials. Zipper was a little tight at first but instructions said this would be the case. After the first few uses it has loosened up and works perfect. I have been having some issues with my lower back, and the Sauna Pod has been providing some much needed relief! Works as advertised ! The cover fits VERY snug on the frame, so assembly the first time requires some thought. Ensure the door flap is between two upright supports so the zippers are free to move. At 185F setting the max temp I have achieved is 174F, 10-15 minutes after entering and sealing up. My sauna thermometer is not calibrated so this may be off. I DO get the 'heat shock protein' generation feeling though, very different from my steam sauna. The camping style chair will compress 'male parts' , so I am looking for a high wooden bar stool for resting as at 6 ft, my head touches the roof if I fully stand, however I want to be in the hottest air. Wife happy with the chair. Oh, your phone will overheat so no scrolling :) The silver wall panels have nothing to do with the sauna pod, but indoor gardening.

It's great and heats up fast, and is space efficient. I get a good sweat and feel great coming out of it. I only gave it 4 stars because the set up is not as easy as it seems. The circle base makes it hard to complete and the lights don't attach perfectly at the top. The cover was also very hard to pull over with set up as well which is good because it fits tightly but was very difficult for individual set up. Because of this, I don't think the sauna is as easy to move and will most likely be kept up so take that in consideration with buying it vs a permanent one. The temp gauge is also is about 5 to 10 degrees less than what the fan says and the heat is mostly above your head height when seated but the legs aren't as hot. Very good product and does get to about 180. Mine is on the 3rd floor of my house where it is relatively hotter and I covered it with some towels to insulated it. Don't have any of the accessories but maybe will buy some in the future as this was a big purchase. Definitely no bad fumes form the pod or chair but I switched mine out with a teak stool just in case. I do wonder how the plastic window will hold up. Very happy with it so far. Hopefully I won't need to contact customer service but if I do, I hope they're are responsive.

I do like the sauna, but it does not reliably reach and maintain 185° F. I placed a heavy blanket on the top which made a significant difference.
For certain it is hotter at the top and I am building a taller chair bench which should help.
I do wonder how hard it would be to develop a light strip with 600-850nm LEDs.
