Is the Ice Pod easy to set up?

Yes, follow the instructions provided in your order, or watch this video. It should only take a couple of minutes.

How do I keep the water clean?
  • To keep the water clean for long periods of time, we recommend getting our Water Maintenance Pack
  • This Pack includes 2 months supply of our custom formulated disinfectant & cleanser you need to have perfect clean and clear water. Using these products, you'll likely not have to change your water for weeks to months.
  • If you don't use sanitizer in your ice bath, we recommend changing the water once per week or every 3-5 sessions.
Can it be set up outdoors?

Yes!

  • We engineered all our Pods to be weather and UV resistant, so you can set it up Inside or outside, even in temperatures below freezing. The insulation layer makes the water turn to ice a lot slower, but we still recommend to stir the water at least once a day to keep the water from freezing completely solid.
How long should each ice bath session be?

To get the health benefits, you'll need to stay in cold water below 59° Fahrenheit (15°C) for 3-5 minutes. Cold water therapy works best with the right combination of time and temperature. Each individual is different and some people can tolerate lower temperatures.

How do I drain the Ice Pod?

The Ice Pod comes with a tap at the bottom for draining. To drain it, connect a standard garden hose or simply open the tap depending on where the pod is set up.

For draining it indoors or over longer distances, we recommend getting our 9ft IcePod Drain Hose.

Is the Chiller gonna run up my electricity bill?

No, the Power usage is only 280-500 watt, which is comparable to the freezer in your home. 

Example of power usage: at 77°F (25°C) room temperature, and chiller temperature set at 46°F (8°C) will consume around 1.4-2 kWh per day (every 24 hours). With todays average kWh in the USA costing $0.35, that is just around $0.5 at per day in electricity cost to run the Pod Chiller 24/7. (These are estimates and can vary depending on the climate and temperatures where you live).

How often should I clean the water filter?

The Pod Chiller has a 20-micron filter, this keeps your water sparkling clear and clean at all times. We recommend cleaning the pod filter every 1-2 weeks. Simply take it out and rinse it with a brush and tap water.

Replace the filter monthly to prevent restricted water flow and protect the chiller from damage.

Does the Pod Chiller have warranty?

Yes! Every Chiller comes with a 2 Year Warranty, so if you experience any issues or it breaks, we'll simply send you a new one!

The warranty can also be extended for a small fee at checkout, so you are covered up to 2 years.

What is the decibel level of the Chiller?

The water Chiller is very quiet, see the readings below. 

Standard chiller measures ∼44db noise level (comparable to a fridge)

Pro chiller measures ∼55 decibel noise level (comparable to a dishwasher)

Is the Chiller compatible other ice tubs?

Yes. The Chiller can easily be used if you already own a tub, it is universally compatible. To purchase the Pod chiller separately, check out the Universal Chiller product page. The Universal chiller is the same chiller, but comes with the neccesary adaptors and fittings for a seamless 5-minute connection to ANY ice bath tub!

How cold can it make my water?

Our Chiller can cool the water in your ice bath down to 39°F (5°C).

It can keep it at that temperature with minimal power consumption as it works on thermostat, which only turns on once every hour, to sustain the selected water temperature, resulting is minimal power consumption.

What temperature do you recommend to set the Chiller at?

We recommend starting out at around 59°F (15°C) if it's your first time, and then slowly lowering the temperature and duration for each session. That way your body will get acclimated to the cold.

We recommend setting the Chiller temperature to 46°F (8°C) or above, as this will ease the power consumption & load on the chiller.

The recommended temperature from clinical studies has shown that the benefits from ice baths and cold therapy are achieved at any temperatures lower than 59°F (15°C).

What's your return policy? Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?
  • Pods (Ice Pod): If you are unhappy with your Pod for any reason, you have 30(!) days to return it for a full refund. Note: The product needs to be in unused condition, see our return policy for more details.
  • Sauna Pod: We offer a 30 days risk-free money back guarantee on the Sauna Pod, so you can test it and return it if it doesn't meet your expectations. To be eligible for a return for The Sauna Pod, your item must be in good condition and not have major signs of use i.e. scratches/dents. You can try it out, but if you have used it and decide to return it,  please clean/wipe it and send it back in it's original packaging with all parts in the box.
  • After we receive your return back at our warehouse, you'll get a full refund within 5 business days. Please note that the customer is responsible for the small return shipping cost, we do not however charge a restocking fee.
